According to Colliers International, the demand for new apartment units in the Jacksonville area is expected to significantly exceed supply growth through mid-2017. Most construction activity is expected to take place in the urban core and the Southside. Here's a look at 6 major multifamily developments already under way in the Southside and vicinity of Town Center.

4. Sola South Lux Apartments

Sola will be a 330-unit apartment complex near Belfort Road. A development of Flournoy Construction, this complex will sit on approximately 16 acres of land. The $2 million complex will consist of island kitchens, walk-in closets, hardwood floors, and stainless steel appliances. Anticipated to be completed in late 2016, Sola Apartments will be located at 8074 Gate Parkway West.
