3. Main & Sixth Brewing Company 1636 Main Street
Son/daughter combo Dennis Espinosa and Cindy Lasky are in the process of converting a 3,000 square foot building located at 1636 Main Street into a brewpub called Main and Six Brewing Company. Among the craft brewing industry, brewpubs are a distinct form of brewery. Brewpubs are typically neighborhood bars/restaurants that sell most of their product over the counter at an on-site taproom.
In the case of Main & Sixth, the 3,488 square foot brewery will include the sale and service of beer, wine, cider and mead for on-site consumption within the building, as well as, the sale and service of beer, wine, cider and mead for off-site consumption and distribution. Main &Sixth; Brewing Company plans to open in Fall 2017.

4. 9th & Main 1850 North Main Street
Adeeb’s Food Services Inc., which operates Bono’s BBQ, plans to open a new brewpub concept at 1850 North Main Street. Adeeb’s plans call for the 7,700-square-foot building to include a brewpub called “Strings”, after Bono’s owner Scott Adeeb’s high school basketball nickname and a separate yet-to-be-named restaurant. in addition, the development would also include an outdoor beer garden with a firepit. A zoning change as been filed with the City of Jacksonville that would allow for the operation of a craft brewery on site.
