3. The Hyppo 1440 Hendricks Ave
In a few weeks, fans of made-from-scratch popsicles in flavors like strawberry basil and champagne mango will be able to find them in San Marco. The Hyppo, a popular popsicle shop owned by Stephen DiMare, has signed a lease to go into a unique hexagon building in the courtyard of San Marco Station. When complete, the San Marco location will be Jacksonville’s second and The Hyppo’s 10th since the opening of its first location in St. Augustine in 2010.

4. The Laundry Station 1604 San Marco Boulevard
San Marco developer Mark Rubin plans to retrofit the former Laundry Station at 1604 San Marco Boulevard into a coffee shop. Expected to open in 2017, the 1,344-square-foot French influenced coffee shop will include 30-35 seats inside and outdoor seating under a 440-square-foot canopy. Rumors are circulating that the space could mark the introduction of a popular Tampa Bay area coffee chain into the Jacksonville area.
