Unlike the rest on this list, Southern Swells will become Jacksonville Beach’s latest craft brewery when it opens in a few weeks. To differentiate themselves from other local craft brewers, Southern Swells plans to place a higher emphasis on sours, in addition to more traditional brews like American-style IPAs. Also, at 7,500 square feet and featuring the beach’s largest taproom, a tasking and special events room and an outdoor courtyard, it promises to be a “go to” place in the local beer scene for special events.
