Christianna Louise White will be opening Studio Apothecary White at 1268 McDuff Avenue South.
21. Hoptinger Bier Garden and Sausage House
Hoptinger Bier Garden and Sausage House will be investing $1 million to build-out a new restaurant and bar in Five Points at 1037 Park Street. Hoptinger is a modern “Baverican” bier garden with more than 60 taps devoted to carefully selected craft beer along with a full liquor bar to serve countless libations and creations. Hoptinger offers a unique menu of creative sausage dogs and other loosely Bavarian-inspired gastro pub food. The new restaurant, which will become Hoptinger’s third location, is expected to open in 2016.

22. The Mazer
A new bar called The Mazer is expected to open at 1512 King Street. The bar will specialize in craft beer, cider, mead and wine.

23. Bearded Buffalo Brewing Company
Construction continues on Scott McAlister’s Bearded Buffalo Brewing Company at 1012-1014 King St. The facility, which will be both a taproom, pilot batch brewing facility and a 24-seat restaurant, is looking to open in the first quarter of 2017.

25. Burlock & Barrel Whiskey Distillery
The Burlock & Barrel American Whiskey Distillery plans to open the city’s first licensed whiskey distillery to produce premium spirits by Winter 2016. The new distillery will be located at 2670 Rosselle Street #3.

26. Richard’s Sandwich Shoppe
Richards’s Sandwich Shoppe at 1030 Oak Street was acquired by Steve Williams in June 2016. Williams’ intends to develop the space into something that extends the vibrancy of Park Street.

27. Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
The former Women’s Club building has been demolished at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. A new building for public programming and events will be constructed in its place. Salvaged roof tiles and bricks from the Women’s Club will be used in the construction of a new Garden Greenhouse and Learning Center facility at the museum.

28. Whit’s Frozen Custard
Whit’s Frozen Custard will be opening a new location in Avondale at 3545 St. Johns Avenue. The new eatery will be the Northeast Florida-based chain’s fourth. Other locations are in Jax Beach, Mandarin and Atlantic Beach.

Downtown’s former La Cena Ristorante is in the process of retrofitting Murry Hill’s 911 Edgewood Avenue into its new location.

30. 1050 Edgewood Avenue
Construction on a new 3,150 square foot coin laundry building for Shin Lee, by The Noble Construction Group, Inc., is now underway at 1050 Edgewood Avenue in Murray Hill.
31. FLA Smoke Shop
FLA Smoke Shop will open a new 798-square-foot store in Murray Hill. The store will be located in Sleiman’s Edgewood Avenue Plaza at 921 Edgewood Avenue.
32. The Annex (929 Edgewood Avenue) and Jeux De Jax (927 Edgewood Avenue)
The Annex will be moving from its King Street location to 929 Edgewood Avenue in Murray Hill. In addition, the Jeux de Jax Comedy & Arts Cafe will be opening next door at 927 Edgewood Avenue. Jeux De Jax will have nightly events featuring local comedians, improv & sketch troupes, musicians, and performers of all kinds that serves food, local coffee, craft beer and worldy wines.
