41. Strings Sports Brewery
Adeeb Properties LLC has filed a permit application for the conversion of 1850 North Main Street into Spring Sports Brewery. The sports-themed microbrewery will include 4,764 square feet of indoor and 2,497 square feet of outdoor space. The space will also include a restaurant called Strings Street Fare, serving traditional Southern dishes with an eclectic flare.

42. UF Health Proton Therapy Institute
The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute is in the process of a $39 million expansion that will increase the facility’s size by roughly 10,000 square feet. Expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2019, the project will also increase the facility’s capacity by about 150 to 200 patients.

43. Bobbyk and 44. Bark Boutique
A 2,000-square-foot retail storefront at 1715 North Main Street will soon become the location of two retailers. Bobby Kelley plans to open Bobbyk design by the end of November. The boutique will specialize in women’s apparel and include locally-made home goods and accessories and a small bit of menswear.
In addition, Jamee Yocum plans to relocate Bark Boutique’s downtown location to the remaining portion of the storefront. The dog boutique and grooming salon will carry products for dogs, cats and chickens. Bark plans to open in early December.

45. Grease Rags Clothing Company
Grease Rags Clothing Company/Best Dressed Damme is in the process of relocating from San Marco to 1229 North Main Street. In addition, a second boutique will occupy a part of the structure. Grease Rags plans to open its new Springfield location on November 24th.
46. Dancy Terrace
Save Dancey LLC. continues to restore Dancy Terrace’s 24 historic bungalow houses. Dancy Terrace is located just east of Main Street between 9th and 10th Streets.
47. Dr. Horace Drew Mansion
245 West 3rd ST LLC. is in the process of restoring the Dr. Horace Drew mansion overlooking Klutho Park at 245 West 3rd Street.
48. 1748 Bakehouse
1748 Bakehouse will be an artisan bakery and restaurant joining a resurgent Main Street commercial district in suddenly red-hot Historic Springfield neighborhood. The concept was born from the kitchens of (most recently Flour and Fig) My Grandmother’s Pie and Provision Goods created by Allison and Kurt D’Aurizio. Located in a former pharmacy at 8th & Main, the 1,500 square foot eatery will serve a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu featuring dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. In addition to a rotating menu, a retail area will sell baked goods, locally grown produce and various in-house, artisan food products. In an effort to quench a variety of thirsts, coffee, local beer, wines, kombucha and a limited craft cocktail menu will also be offered. 1748 Bakehouse could open in early 2019.
49. Southwest Quadrant of 7th & Market Streets
TerraWise Homes is in the process of constructing nine new single family residences at the intersection of 7th and Market Streets.
50. Bleu Chocolate Cafe
Bleu Chocolat Cafe has recently signed a lease to open at 1602 Walnut Street. Bleu Chocolat will specialize in small bites, coffee and wine with a focus on chocolate.

51. Boys & Girls Club Teen Center
Work on a $2.5 million Boys & Girls Club Teen Center at the intersection of 10th and Liberty streets continue to make progress. When complete, the space will include a restaurant, gym, robotics lab, recording studio, a rock climbing wall, art studio, and several vocational programs.
