49. Crispy’s - 1735 North Main Street
John Crispens continues to make progress on the conversion of 1735 N. Main St. into an Italian-themed restaurant and bar, art gallery and dry cleaning service. Originally, the Akra Bros. department store, the 5,850-square-foot space will feature a 150-seat restaurant that will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

50. The Cookbook Restaurant
Springfield resident Brandon Byers plans to open The Cookbook Restaurant at 1827 N. Pearl St. A recent Times-Union article states the restaurant will offer everything from burgers and fries to American soul food including shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Interior improvements being made to the space include a dining room, lounge area and bar as well as a small stage for live entertainment.

Pediatric Associates will be opening a new medical office at 1714 North Main Street.
52. Main & Sixth Brewing Company
Son/daughter combo Dennis Espinosa and Cindy Lasky are in the process of opening the Main and Six Brewing Company at 1636 Main Street. The 3,488 square foot brewery will include the sale and service of beer, wine, cider and mead for on-site consumption within the building, as well as, the sale and service of beer, wine, cider and mead for off-site consumption and distribution.

Save Dancey LLC. plans to restore Dancy Terrace’s 24 historic bungalow houses. Dancy Terrace is located just east of Main Street between 9th and 10th Streets.
54. C.B. Dailey Villas (Eastside)
Construction continues on a 24-unit apartment building near the intersection of A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and 1st Street. The 3-story structure is being developed by Wealth Watchers, Inc., a Jacksonville-based non-profit.

55. Community, A Walgreens Pharmacy
Community, A Walgreens Pharmacy intends to open at 1801 N. Main Street. The 1,452 specialty pharmacy at 8th & Main will offer disease management consultation and medical and clinical adherence; lead the industry in dispensing generic prescriptions to provide savings; and work with improving medicine adherence, especially with patients who have complex, high-cost regimens. It will also include a community room for private one-on-one meetings with patients and classes for staff development.

Popular culinary proprietors Kurt and Allison D’Aurizio have signed a lease and will soon begin the buildout of Flour & Fig Bakehouse in the Historic Springfield neighborhood at 1715 Main Street, adjacent to the soon-to-open The Block Skate Supply. The 1,900 square foot space will have approximately 100 indoor and outdoor seats in a warm, casual atmosphere accentuated by exposed brick and creative lighting.
