31. The San Jose Episcopal Church building was originally the adminstration building for San Jose Estates during the mid-1920s.

32. The San Jose Country Club opened in 1925. The club’s golf course was designed by Donald Ross, the most famous golf architect in the country.

38. Despite original intentions of being a self sustaining community, San Jose failed to develop a significant amount of commercial uses. However, a small commercial zone of activity did develop east of the original community, in the vicinity of the intersection of St. Augustine Road and Old Kings Road.
