Owned and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki is a museum dedicated to Seminole culture and history, located on the Big Cypress Indian Reservation outside of Clewiston, FL. Meaning “a place to learn, a place to remember”, the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum is a designated Smithsonian Institution Affiliate and the first tribally owned museum to be accredited by the American Association of Museums.
Earlier this month, the board of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation had the opportunity to engage in a special tour of the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum to listen and learn from the Seminole Tribe of Florida as the Florida Trust strives to tell the full story of all Floridians.
