It is anticipated that a plan by the Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan to build a Four Seasons Hotel and Residences anchored development at Metropolitan Park with $114 million in city taxpayer incentives will receive final council approval on October 12. Moving quickly, Iguana Investments Florida is prepared to request conceptual approval of the hotel’s design at the next Downtown Development Review Board (DDRB) meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 14.
The latest plans illustrate a 176-room, ten-story Four Seasons with 25 for-sale luxury condominiums adjacent to a 157,027-square-foot, six-story, Class A office building and marina support building. Additional uses include a hotel lobby bar, 3,400-square-foot specialty restaurant, 4,493-square-foot all day restaurant and 4,604-square-feet of residential amenities facing a river club pool deck and expanded river walk. The DDRB is scheduled to vote October 14 at 2 p.m. on conceptual design approval for the project at 1406 Gator Bowl Boulevard. Here is a look at the DDRB project presentation.
