Posting House LLC. plans to open The Posting House as a pub that will serve beer and wine in the building that dates back to 1945. Pending approval of a zoning exception to serve beer and wine, a waiver of liqour distance from a church/school and an administrative deviation to reduce parking requirements from 26 spaces to zero spaces, the pub would occupy roughly half of the building, which is planned to be converted into two storefront spaces. Conceptual plans indicate the 1,600-square-foot pub would include up to 99 interior seats and additional covered outdoor seating along Hendricks Avenue. Intended to offer a contrasting low-key activity to the higher-traffic food and beverage venues presently operating in nearby San Marco Square, The Posting House could open in early 2019.
