Edgewood Mural Program
Murray Hill Preservation Association (MHPA) is an all-volunteer not-for-profit group working with residents, merchants and the City of Jacksonville to promote, preserve and protect the resources and history of the Murray Hill neighborhood. As a placemaking project aimed at enhancing the streetscape along Edgewood Avenue, MHPA has partnered with local businesses to create four public murals at key locations along Edgewood. Here is a look at three of these murals in progress.
New York mural artist Jon Burgerman donated this design, which was painted by Lee High School art teacher Anne Jacques and her students.
Savannah, GA based artist Britt Spencer is an internationally recognized illustrator that is currently producing this mural adorning the Murray Hill Plaza building.
Graphic designer and illustrator Brenna Noel and artist and designer Kate Rose Willink have teamed up to produce a mural on the side of the Tradewinds building shown above.
