4. Springfield Lofts

78 residential units

Springfield Lofts may be the first major multi-family project to break ground in Springfield in over a decade. Tampa-based GNP Development Partners, LLC. intends to transform the former Jacksonville Jewish Center complex at 3rd and Silver Streets into a 78-unit mixed-use apartment complex. In addition to new infill construction, GNP plans to re-use existing historic contributing buildings on the 2.13-acre site overlooking Klutho Park and the Northbank skyline. GNP hopes to begin construction by the end of 2016.

3. St. Johns Village

224 residential units

If plans go according to schedule, more apartments could be headed to Riverside/Avondale. Atlanta-based Chance Partners, LLC. plans to demolish and replace the St. Johns Village shopping center, at Fishweir Creek and St. Johns Avenue, with a 224-unit luxury apartment complex.

Chance Partners plans to break ground in December 2016 and anticipates completion by early 2018. Forced to shut down at the end of November, the Loop Pizza Grill on site is already actively looking for a replacement location in the Riverside/Avondale area.
