Sitework is already underway on the $34 million Broadstone River House Apartment development along Prudential Drive.
Replacing a 3.7-acre surface parking lot, the 300-unit luxury apartment complex by Alliance Residential Company, will front the Southbank Riverwalk and open in 2018.
7. Lofts at LaVilla
130 residential units
In June 2016, the Downtown Development Review Board gave final design approval for the Vestcor Companies Lofts of Lavilla. The $22-million, 5-story affordable housing project will contain 130 apartment units adjacent to the Skyway at Lee and Bay Streets. Supported by a $270,000 loan from the Downtown Economic Development Fund and $270,000 from the Jacksonville Housing Finance Authority, Vesctor plans to start construction in August 2016 and have it completed by the end of 2017.
