A Neighborhood Transformed By Craft Beer

BEER:30 A CRAFT BEER EMPORIUM

Beer:30 originally opened in 2012 by Justen Mann and Warren Freyfield as a part-time hobby. The two had attended a Jaguars football game in Atlanta and found a similar craft beer package store during the trip that became the inspiration for this new business venture. Justin and Warren already operated a successful waste management company that they both started fresh out of college six years earlier.

Beer:30 has over 650 bottles/cans available for sale and has since expanded to include growler fills and a tasting room for on-site consumption. In 2015, Beer:30 began franchising their operation when long-time employee and his father Kevin and Jeff Burns opened a new outlet in the nearby San Marco neighborhood.

JUST BREW IT

In 2005, Ken and Janet Stevens opened Just Brew It- a hombebrewing and winemaking supply store adjacent to Bold City Brewery.

The store sells brewing equipment, ingredients and storage devices for private individuals interested in brewing their own beer and wine. Just Brew It is the primary sponsor and supplier for the CASK homebrewing club- which produced several of the local brewers who have gone on to open or work in the nearly dozen craft breweries operating or under construction throughout Jacksonville.

In 2011, Just Brew It expanded to include a second location in Jacksonville Beach.
