Baby Got Brunch

Former Jaguars defensive end Marcus Stroud has plans to open a new restaurant downtown called Baby Got Brunch. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the Residences at City Place condominiums. Stroud envisions the eatery as a place where diners will come for food, live music and conversation. The 94-seat restaurant and bar would offer all day brunch along with menu items like chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, macaroni and cheese, and short ribs.
Cinotti’s Bakery | Grounds of Grace

Cinotti’s Bakery and Sandwich Shop has been creating top quality local baked goods since opening in 1936. In 2020, Cinotti’s Bakery was identified by DIA CEO Lori Boyer as a local restaurant that the DIA could target for expansion downtown. The dream for this 5th generation family business coming to downtown appears to be coming true. Earlier this month, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority board authorized staff to negotiate a lease agreement with Cinotti’s Bakery and Grounds of Grace. Grounds of Grace is a local coffee shop operation that was founded in 2020 with the vision of being a launching pad for young men and women to take their first steps of employment through the coffee industry. Cinotti’s Bakery and Grounds of Grace would occupy a retail space on the ground floor of the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla. The cafe’s menu would feature breakfast, lunch and bakery items, along with a full espresso bar and smoothies.
The Co-op Frosé & Eatery
218 West Church Street
An all-day frose bar that originated in Sullivans Island, SC will be opening soon in downtown. The Co-op Frosé & Eatery will occupy a 2,000-square-foot space in the Florida Baptist Convention Building. In addition, the frosé bar will include nearly 1,500-square-feet of outdoor patio space between the Sweet Pete’s and the Federal Reserve Building. Frosé is an alcoholic beverage that is basically a frozen blended rosé wine. With locations currently in Nashville, Chattanooga, Charlotte, Las Vegas and the Charleston, SC area, The Co-op Frosé & Eatery is also known for its breakfast, sandwiches and salads.
Decca Live
323 East Bay Street
A Miami-based development group is nearing completion on a $4.8 million live music venue called Decca Live. Designed by JAA Architecture, the 10,400-square-foot three story concert venue will include a new 2,250 square foot rooftop bar. The first floor will include a main floor area with a stage and bar. An area with lounge seating, a smaller bar, exterior patio and restrooms will be located on the second floor. A roof lounge and bar will serve as the third level while the building’s basement will become space for storage, service, electrical and office uses.
